I just have to say that the LEGO Kidsfest was SO COOL! I even teased my Star Wars obsessed sister with pictures while we were there because I was that impressed. I am not easily impressed and it still rocked my socks! I am here to answer the question, Do I take a child under two years old to LEGO Kidsfest? Absolutely!
Which Michael was more excited to be at LEGO KidsFest?
If you are judging based solely on this picture, the answer is Daddy Michael. HAHA! My poor child’s arms are all twisted, his belly is hanging out of his shirt and he has that “I’m so scared, I’m peeing myself” look.
The life sized characters were just AH-mazing! Chewbacca was so realistic, as realistic as Star Wars can be, that Michael would cry when he got close to the model. It was funny and sad at the same time. (Please hand me my Mother of the Year award for torturing my son!)
We attended the Friday session so we didn’t have to deal with the crowds from the sold out sessions, it’s that popular, and I am glad we did because it wasn’t crowded at all. Daddy Michael’s eyes were bulging out of his head as he kept saying, “this is so cool! Let’s go over here! No way!”
The LEGO DUPLO® section was the hoppin’ place to be for the Schuplin family! The cons of being behind the lens are that you are never in a picture, but the pros can be amazing. I was able to step back and watch my little family, my boys, while they played with LEGO bricks. Both of my boys are growing up and growing together and it is a beautiful thing. I don’t care what you men say because it takes longer for you guys to enjoy fatherhood like moms fall into motherhood. It’s just a fact of life so don’t get mad.
You still have a chance to attend a LEGO KidsFest if you live in Pittsburg. The Pittsburg event will take place 11/30/12 – 12/2/12 so don’t delay getting tickets!
We have made the decision to attend LEGO KidsFest every year as a family. The event was just buzzing with creative energy as the kids built houses, formed words and raced their cars. This event truly is a positive experience for any family with children. I promise you just might have more fun than your child.
I received tickets in exchange for my promotion of LEGO KidsFest. All opinions and experiences are my own.
